At around 12:40pm on November 19, 2024, Oelwein Police investigated a vehicle accident at the intersection of Rock Island Road and 14th St SE.  A blue 2014 Chevrolet Equinox driven by Evelyn Richards collided with a gray 2014 Honda Odyssey driven by Nicole Ehlers.  Initial estimates of damages were $7,000 for the vehicle driven by Richards and $7,000 for the vehicle driven by Ehlers.  Richards was cited with Failure to Yield Upon Left Turn.  Oelwein Police were assisted by Mercy Ambulance Oelwein.

At 2:02am on November 20, 2024, Oelwein Police arrested Daryl Milton Jones, 57, of Hawkeye.  Jones was charged with Driving While License Revoked.  This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 100 block of 1st Ave NW.

On November 17, 2024, at approximately 3:08am, Oelwein Officers arrested Raquel Virginia Bowser-Greene, 35, of Oelwein on a Fayette County Warrant for original charges of theft – 3^rd Degree. This arrest took place in the 100 block of 1^st Avenue S.E.

On November 17, 2024, at approximately 9:34pm, Oelwein Officers arrested Jerome Schuneman, 42, of Phoenix AZ, on charges of Domestic Abuse Assault – 2^nd Offense – Serious Misdemeanor. Schuneman was arrested in the 700 block of 3^rd Avenue S.W. following a reported assault that was taking place.

On November 16^th, 2024, at approximately 8:46 p.m., Oelwein Police Officers arrested Nicholas Eugene Snyder, 46, of Washburn IA. Snyder was arrest on the following charges. Criminal Mischief 5^th Degree – Simple Misdemeanor, Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations – Serious Misdemeanor, Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations – Bodily Injury – Aggravated Misdemeanor, Harassment – 1^st Degree – Aggravated Misdemeanor, Disorderly Conduct – Simple Misdemeanor and Interference with Official Acts – Bodily Injury – Serious Misdemeanor. This arrest took place in the 100 block of South Frederick after a report of a patron at an establishment causing a disturbance. Oelwein Officers were assisted by the Iowa State Patrol and the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office.

At 12:55pm on November 14, 2024, Oelwein Police charged a 15-year-old female juvenile with Minor Using Tobacco/Vape Device 1st Offense.  The juvenile was cited and released to guardians following a report of a student using a vape pen at the high school.  This matter has been referred to Juvenile Court.

At 10:09am on November 15, 2024, Oelwein Police arrested Brandy Lynn Schoultz, 39, of Oelwein.  Schoultz was arrested on two Fayette County warrants for original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense - Aggravated Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made following Schoultz turning themself in at the Oelwein Police Department lobby.

On November 12^th, 2024, at approximately 2:20p.m., Oelwein officers arrested Blake Michael Kerns, 40, for refusal to sign citations indicating the promise to appear in court for Speeding and Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicle. This arrest took place in the 100 block of East Line Road following a traffic stop.

At 1:32pm on November 10, 2024, Oelwein Police arrested Andrew Lee Heth, 37, of Oelwein.  Heth was charged with Driving While Barred - Aggravated Misdemeanor and Operating Without Ignition Interlock Device - Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 300 block of 6th Ave SE.

At 7:45pm on November 10, 2024, Oelwein Police arrested Ronald Eugene Utt, 33, of Oelwein.  Utt was arrested on a Buchanan County warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Animal Neglect with Serious Injury or Death - Aggravated Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made in the 400 block of 7th Ave SE.

At 8:49am on November 6, 2024, Oelwein Police charged a 14-year-old female juvenile with Minor Using Tobacco/Vape Product 2nd Offense.  The juvenile was cited and released to guardians following a report of a student possessing a vape pen at the high school.  This matter has been referred to Juvenile Court.

On November 5, 2024, at approximately 4:09 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Ronald Eugene Utt, 33, of Oelwein on two Fayette County Arrest Warrants on original charges of Driving While Barred and Driving While License Suspended. Utt was taken into custody in the 400 block of 7^th Avenue S.E.

On November 3^rd, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Oelwein Police Officers arrested Emily Cristine Grasso, 32, of Oelwein. Grasso was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault – Injury or Mental Illness – 1^st Offense. This arrest took place in the 100 block of East Charles.

On October 27^th, 2024, Oelwein Police investigated a hit and run accident in the 10 block of 6^th St N.W., where a vehicle had hit and broke a fire hydrant and then left the scene. As a result of the investigation, Oelwein Officers cited Jenna Marie Walker, 25, of Oelwein. Walker was cited for Failure to Maintain Registration Plate, Leaving the Scene of Accident – Property Damage Only. Walker was also summoned to court for Operating Without Interlock and Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled or Revoked.

At 12:14am on November 2, 2024, Oelwein Police arrested Caleb Lee Bradshaw, 27, of Oelwein.  Bradshaw was charged with Attempting to Disarm a Police Officer - Class D Felony, Assaulting a Police Officer - Serious Misdemeanor, and Interference with Official Acts - Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made following a report of disorderly conduct in the 400 block of N Frederick Ave.
