Oelwein Police are investigating a Theft Complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of a Theft Complaint, at 6:00 p.m., on August 12, 2017 from the 2600 block S Frederick. This incident remains under investigation.

 Oelwein Police are investigating a Criminal Mischief Complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of a Criminal Mischief, at 6:27 p.m., on August 12, 2017 from the 100 block East Charles.  This incident remains under investigation.

 

August 11,2017

At 9:35 p.m. on August 11, 2017 in the 100 block of 1st Avenue SE, Oelwein Officers arrested Chad Michael Dahl, age 40 of Oelwein on a charge of OWI 1st Offense.

August 10,2017

On August 10, 2017 at 6:40 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested James Elvis Worth, age 34 for a Clayton County warrant with original charges of Intimidation and Harassment 3rd Degree.

August 9, 2017

 Oelwein Police are investigating a Criminal Mischief Complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of a Criminal Mischief, at 12:26 p.m., on August 9, 2017 from the  500 block 1st st ne. This incident remains under investigation.

August 9, 2017 Burglary Arrest Made

Oelwein Police Make Arrest in Recent String of Burglaries

 

On July 31st and August 8th, the Oelwein Police Department responded to several reports of burglary to local businesses. As a result of those investigations, on August 9th, 2017, at approximately 8:26 a.m. the Oelwein Police Department arrested Jason Charles Cole, 21, in the 100 block of West Charles.  Cole was arrested on seven counts of Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class D Felony. Cole was transported to the Oelwein Police Department where he was provided an initial appearance before a Magistrate and later transferred to the Fayette County Jail and is being held on bond. These investigations continue and further arrests and charges are pending. 

August 8, 2017

 Oelwein Police are investigating a Theft.  Oelwein Police received a report of a Theft, at 9:53 p.m., on August 8, 2017 from the 100 block Lincoln Drive Ne.  This incident remains under investigation.

 

August 5,2017

On August 5, 2017 at 3:15 p.m., in the 2600 block of South Frederick, Oelwein Officers arrested Isiah Dean Heidt, age 19 of Oelwein on charges from a Dubuque County arrest warrant, for Probation Violation with Original charges of Theft 2nd Degree.

 

 

Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop on August 5, 2017 at 11:25 p.m. in the 300 block of South Frederick.  Officers arrested the driver of the vehicle, 36 year old Jesse Linn Jones of Waterloo, for Driving While License Revoked, a Serious Misdemeanor.

August 4, 2017

 Oelwein Police are investigating a Criminal Mischief Complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of Criminal Mischief, at 11:29 a.m., on August 4, 2017 from the 100 block 6th av NW.  This incident remains under investigation.

 Oelwein Police are investigating a Theft Complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of Theft, at 10:47 p.m., on August 4, 2017 from the 800 block 1st st ne.  This incident remains under investigation.

 Oelwein Police are investigating a Burglary Complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of Burglary, at 2:12 a.m., on August 5, 2017 from the 10 block North Frederick.  This incident remains under investigation.

At 5:53 am on August 5, 2017 Oelwein Police Department performed a traffic stop in the 100 block of south Frederick following several complaints of underage females driving.  A 15 year old female from Oelwein was cited and released for driving while license suspended

August 3, 2017

Oelwein Police investigated several criminal mischief complaints on July 21, 2017 at 10:33 p.m.  The Oelwein Police Department received reports of numerous buildings that had been vandalized with spray paint. Contact was made with a number of the business owners to advise them of the damage. During the course of the investigation, officers were able to determine that the criminal acts were committed by three juvenile females ages 11, 12 and 13. All subjects have been referred to juvenile court services for criminal mischief in the 4th degree-serious misdemeanor.
