February 9,2018

On February 9, 2018 5:15 p.m., Oelwein Officers were called to the 400 block of 13th Avenue NW in Oelwein for a report of suspicious activity.  Upon arrival, Officers arrested Stephanie Patricia Arteaga, age 27 of Oelwein on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Misdemeanor; Possession of Controlled Substance, a Serious Misdemeanor;  Operating a Motor Vehicle Without Owner's Consent, Aggravated Misdemeanor;  and Prohibited Acts, a Class "C" Felony.

February 8,2018

On February 8, 2018 at 1:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers were called to a report of an individual on a property, without permission, in the 400 block of 7th Av SW.  Officers arrested Gary Roy Wright, age 52 of Oelwein on a charge of Trespass, a Simple Misdemeanor.

February 7, 2018

At 6:53 p.m., on February 7, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Michael Melvern Miller, 43, of Oelwein.  Miller was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant on an original charge of Theft 3rd Degree. This arrest came after officer’s interactions with the subject in the 500 block Rock Island Road.

 On February 7, 2018 at 8:37 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 400 block of 13th AV SW.  Following a short investigation, Officers identified and cited Justis William Kim Tielebein, age 17, of Oelwein on a charge of Driving while License Suspended. 

February 6, 2018

Oelwein Police are investigating a Theft Complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of Theft, at 10:11a.m., on February 6, 2018 from the 100 block 3rd ST NW. This incident remains under investigation

At 9:59 p.m., on February 6, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Seth Allen Mclane, 24, of Oelwein.  Mclane was arrested on a Buchanan County Warrant for a Parole Violation on an original charge of Prohibited Acts and a Second Buchanan County Warrant on an original charge of Assault as well as Possession of Pseudoephedrine- precursor- Class D Felony and Possession of drug Paraphernalia-Simple Misdemeanor This arrest followed a traffic stop at Hwy 281 and 150.

February 4,2018

On February 4, 2018 at 11:00 p.m., Oelwein Police performed a traffic stop in the 400 block of 3rd Street SE in Oelwein.  Officers cited Mark Allen Olson, age 50 of Oelwein for Driving While License Suspended.  Olson was also cited to No Insurance.

February 2, 2018

Oelwein Police are investigating a Theft Complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of Theft, at 10:30 a.m., on February 2, 2018 from the 10 block 1st AV SE. This incident remains under investigation

January 31, 2018

On January 30, 2018 at 7:25 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a report of a suspicious person in the 100 block of 1st St SW.  Following a short investigation, Officers identified and arrested Zachary Gilbert Welsh, age 34, of Oelwein on a charge of Failure to Comply With the Sex Offender Registry.  Welsh was arrested on January 31, 2018 at 5:20 p.m.

 

On January 31, 2018 at 11:25 a.m., in the 1500 block of S Frederick, Oelwein Officers arrested Ryan Zachery Martin, age 36 of Oelwein for a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant, with an original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Sell.

 

January 28, 2018

Oelwein Police are investigating a Theft Complaint.  Oelwein Police received a report of Theft, at 12:10 p.m., on January 28, 2018 from the 100 block 5th ST NW. This incident remains under investigation

January 27, 2018

On January 27, 2018 at 4:11 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Jenna Rae Stubberud, 36, of Oelwein.  Stubberud was arrested on a Bemer County Warrant for Probation Violation on an original charge of Theft and second Bremer County warrant for Failure to Appear.  This arrest followed an officer’s interaction with the subject in the 400 block of 13th AV NW.

January 26, 2018

On January 26, 2018 at 11:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the 100 block of South Frederick for a report of a possible violation of a no contact order.  Upon arrival, Officers arrested David Lee Allen Nuehring, age 51 of Oelwein on two counts of Violation of a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order, both Simple Misdemeanors.
