On June 7^th, 2018 at 2:40 p.m., Officers took a report of an Attempted Burglary in the 2300 block of South Frederick.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On June 6th, 2018 at 5:56 a.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 100 block of 7^th St SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation. 

On June 6^th, 2018 at 7:06 a.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 900 block of South Frederick Avenue.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On June 4, 2018 at 2:15 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Travis Wayne Leftwich, age 39 of Oelwein on a Felony Bench warrant for Parole Violation on an original charge of Sexual Abuse of an Acquaintance.

On June 5th, 2018 at 5:51 a.m., Officers took a report of an Attempted Burglary in the 2300 block of South Frederick.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On June 5th, 2018 at 7:50 a.m., Officers took a report of an Attempted Burglary in the 1900 block of South Frederick Avenue.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

Officers responded to the 10 block of 1st Avenue NE in Oelwein at 4:05 p.m. on June 5, 2018 for a reported disturbance.  Officers arrested Ashley P. Schoonover, age 27 of Carbondale, Illinois, on a charge of Disorderly Conduct, Simple Misdemeanor. 

On June 3^rd, 2018 at 12:37 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Daniel James Meaney, 48, of Oelwein.  Meaney was arrested and charged with Operating while Intoxicated-Serious Misdemeanor.  This arrest followed a report of an erratic driver in the 300 block of W Charles.

On June 3^rd, 2018 at 11:51 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Kristy Ranae Heidt, 48, of Oelwein Heidt was arrested and charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance- Aggravated Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest followed a traffic stop in the 200 block 2^nd AV SE.

On June 2^nd 2018 at 12:35 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Justin Linus Kuennen, 37, of Oelwein.  Kuennen was arrested on a Chickasaw County Warrant for Probation Violation on an original charge of Driving under the Influence.  Kuennen was also arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for Probation Violation on an original charge of Possession of a Fire arm by a felon.  This arrest followed an officer’s interaction with the subject in the 500 block of Rock Island Road.

On June 2^nd, 2018 at 7:04 p.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 300 block of 4^th ST SW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On May 27, 2018 at 4:00 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the scene of a one vehicle, property damage accident in the 2500 block of South Frederick.  Officers arrested Justin Linus Kuenen, age 37 of Oelwein on charges of Driving While Barred, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, Failure to Have SR22 Insurance, Serious Misdemeanor and Failure to Have Ignition Interlock Device, Serious Misdemeanor.  Kuennen was also cited for No Motorcycle License and Failure to Maintain Control.

On May 19, 2018 at 8:41 a.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of 2nd AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On May 19, 2018 at 11:38 a.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 300 block of 8^th AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On May 19, 2018 at 3:31p.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of 3rd AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

At 10: 22 p.m., on May 15, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Gary Frank Louch, 24, of Oelwein.  Louch was arrested on a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of two counts of Theft 5^th Degree.  This arrest followed Officer’s interaction with the subject in the 500 block of Rock Island Road.

On May 14, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Zachary Allen Smith, age 33 of Oelwein on a charge of Theft 2nd Degree, a Class "D" Felony.  This arrest culminates two burglary investigations.  Smith was also arrested on a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant, original charge of Domestic Assault.

On May 10, 2018 at 11:51 a.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 2000 block of Hwy 150S.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On May 10, 2018 at 1:05 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 1^st AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
