On July 9, 2018 Oelwein Officers cited Emilio Austin Torres, age 28 of Oelwein for Failure to Abate Property as Ordered for property in the 1000 block of West Charles. This incident stemmed from a report taken on July 2, 2018.
Fernando David Mejia, age 35 of Oelwein was issued a citation for Allowing Dog to Run at Large in the 100 block of 9th Avenue SE in Oelwein, due to an incident occurring on July 7, 2018.
On July 9, 2018 at 4:20 p.m., Oelwein Officers took a report of a domestic incident in the 400 block of 13th Avenue NW. Officers arrested Joshua Allen Rohrick, age 24 of Oelwein on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, a Simple Misdemeanor.
On July 10, 2018 at 1:55 a.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 700 block of Highway 150 North. Officers arrested Milea Jo Mickey, age 36 of Maynard. Officers placed Mickey under arrest for a Black Hawk County Warrant, original charge of Theft 4th Degree.
On July 8, 2018 at 1:10 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a verbal dispute in the 100 block of 5th St NW. Officers arrested Brandon David Latham, age 22 of Oelwein on a charge of Enhanced Public Intoxication, a Serious Misdemeanor.
On July 6, 2018 at 9:50 p.m., in the 800 block of 1st Avenue NE, Oelwein Police arrested Robert Lee McClaren, age 31 of Oelwein for a Fayette County Sheriff's warrant for Failure to Appear for an original charge of Violating Municipal Code of the City of Oelwein-Failure to Abate Property as Ordered.
On July 4, 2018 at 2:10 a.m., Oelwein Police performed a traffic stop in the First block of 1st Avenue SE. Officers arrested James Stanford Adams Jr, age 25 of Oelwein on charges of Driving While Barred, Aggravated Misdemeanor; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Misdemeanor; and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, a Class "D" Felony.
On July 4th, 2018 at 7:15 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Mykala Lynn Meike, age 24 of Oelwein for a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant, original charge of Theft 2nd Degree.
Oelwein Officers cited Mitchell Evan Tafolla, age 26 of Oelwein for Discharging Fireworks Within the City Limits. This incident occurred on July 4, 2018 at 9:45 p.m.
On July 1, 2018 at 11:10. Oelwein Police arrested Tyler Mitchel Robinson, 24, of Lamont. Robinson was arrested on 2 Manchester Police Department Warrants, one for Theft 4th Degree and the other for Driving while License Barred. This arrest followed a traffic stop in the 10 block 2nd AV SE
On June 30th, 2018 at 8:42 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Renee Marie McDonald, 58, of Vinton. McDonald was arrested and charged with a Violation of a No Contact Order- Simple Misdemeanor. This followed an interaction with an officer, the subject and the protected party in the 10 block 1st ST SW.
On June 28, 2018 at 3:20 p.m. Oelwein Officers arrested Franklin Ray Brown, age 53 of Fairbank for a Buchanan County Sheriff's Warrant for Probation Violation, original charge Amphetamine Possession. Brown has an addition Probation Violation warrant out of Linn County.
On June 23, 2018 at 2:15 p.m. Oelwein Officers arrested Joshua Conrad Avenson, age 27 of Oelwein, for a Fayette County Sheriff's warrant for Failure to Serve Jail Time. Avenson was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor.
Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 10 block of 4th Avenue SW on June 24, 2018 at 1:15 p.m. Officers arrested Vanessa Renee Neeley, age 28 of Oelwein on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor.
On June 22st 2018 at 1:46 p.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 500 block of 5th AV NW. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
At 9:39 a.m., on June 21st, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Ryan Zachary Martin, 36, of Oelwein. Martin was arrested on Two Fayette County Warrants: 1st was Prohibited Acts Mfg, Del, Cons Meth and the second warrant was Failure to appear on an original charge of Driving While Barred. This arrest followed an officer’s interaction with the subject in the 10 block 7th AV NE. The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.
On June 21st 2018 at 9:43a.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of 10th ST SW. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
