On January 1, 2021 at 5:14 P.M., Oelwein Officers responded to the 1300 block of South Frederick for a Theft. Officers summonsed to court, Dizney Marie Willenborg, age 20 of Oelwein, Ashley Ann Maness, age 21 of Arlington and Marianna Lynae Hardnett age 20 of Colorado for Theft-5th degree and Trespassing.
On January 1, 2021 at 10:04 P.M., Oelwein Officers responded to the 100 block 2nd AV NW. Officers summonsed to court Riley Scott Young, 25 years old, of Oelwein and Joel Alexander Young, age 33, of Marengo. Riley Young was summonsed for Possession of a Controlled Substance- Marijuana, Possession of a Controlled Substance- Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Joel Young was summonsed for Possession Marijuana- 2nd or subsequent offense and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
On December 30, 2020 at 1:45 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the 200 block of 3rd Av SE for a reported domestic violence incident. Officers arrested Cody Richard Reisner, age 37 of Oelwein for a Parole Violation warrant with original charges of Habitual Offender-Property Crimes and Possession of Controlled Substance.
On December 28, 2020 at 1:30 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 100 block 1st AV SE for a report of Criminal Mischief. This incident remains under investigation
Oelwein police investigated a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 7th ST and South Frederick at 3:47 P.M., on December 2, 2020. A green 1997 Dodge Ram driven by Kim Neuhaus collided with fire hydrant. Nuehaus was cited for no insurance.
On December 27, 2020 at 8:31 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 600 block South Frederick for a report of Burglary. This incident remains under investigation
Oelwein police investigated a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 20th ST and HWY 150 at 1:05 P.M., on December 27, 2020. A silver 2007 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Daniel Bantz collided with a Silver 2005 Ford Mustang driven by Duane Olsen.
On December 27, 2020 at 11:59 P.M., Oelwein Police arrested Seth Lee Rohrick , 24, of Oelwein. Rohrick was charged with Interference- Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest followed an incident in the 10 block N Frederick.
On December 26, 2020 at 3:32 P.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 10 block 8th ST SE for a report of Criminal Mischief. This incident remains under investigation.
Oelwein police investigated a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 281 and S. Frederick Ave at 2:34 P.M., on December 24, 2020. A silver 2001 Chevy Silverado driven by Michael Callan collided with a red 2012 Chevy Silverado driven by Francis Cunningham. Cunningham was cited for failure to yield from a stop sign.
On December 23, 2020 at 8:01 a.m., Oelwein Officers cited Rogenea Ann Torres age 55, of Oelwein for Theft 5th Degree- simple misdemeanor. This citation followed an incident in the 100 block 2nd ST SE.
On December 23, 2020 at 6:17 p.m., Oelwein Officers cited Jennifer Nicole Williams age 37 of Oelwein for Driving while License Suspended. This citation followed an traffic stop at the intersection of South Frederick and 1st ST SE
On December 22, 2020 at 9:46 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 200 block 3rd AV SE for a report of Criminal Mischief. This incident remains under investigation.
Correction
A previous press release mistakenly identified that On December 19, 2020 at 4:43 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 10 block 1st AV SE for a report of a traffic accident. A white 2016 Chevrolet Impala driven by Brooke Latham was struck by Silver 2005 Chevrolet Impala owned by Carter Sprogis. But should have stated that they white 2016 Chevrolet Impala driven by Brooke Latham struck a silver 2005 Chevrolet Impala owned by Carter Sprogis.
On December 20, 2020 at 3:50 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Dean Alan Hettinger age 24 for Violation of Probation and Violation of Pretrial Supervision with original charges of Child Endangerment-Death and Murder in the 1st Degree.
