On April 23, 2021 at 7:28 A.M., Oelwein Officers were called to the 100 block East Charles for a reported Criminal Mischief. This incident remains under investigation.

On April 19, 2021 at 1:08 A.M., Oelwein Police cited Ronald Craig Dean, 43, of Oelwein. Dean was cited for Driving while License Suspended. This citation followed a traffic stop in the 100 block 3rd AV SE.
On April 17, 2021 at 6:58 P.M., Oelwein Police arrested Skylar Joseph Buhr, 31, of Oelwein. Buhr was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant on an original charge of Contempt of District Court. This arrest followed a traffic stop in the 200 block of 1st ST NE.
On April 17, 2021 at 6:58 P.M., Oelwein Police arrested Mark Allen Olson, 53, of Oelwein. Olson was arrested on and charged with Driving while Barred, Possession of Methamphetamine and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. This arrest followed a traffic stop in the 200 block of 1st ST NE.
On April 15, 2021 at 4:20 A.M., Oelwein Police arrested Clayton Allen Bushaw, 26, of Oelwein. Bushaw was arrested on a Buchanan County Probation Violation Warrant on an original of Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. This arrest followed an incident in the 10 block 3rd ST NW.

On April 2, 2021 at 1:40 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the 200 block of 5th Av NE in Oelwein. A report was taken and at that time the involved parties had been separated. At 1:10 a.m. on April 3, 2021, Officers responded again to a continued domestic situation at this same location. Officers arrested Kayleigh Jane Harger, age 35 of Oelwein on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
