At 1:04 a.m. on September 21st, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Jordan Ellis Piper, 29, of Fayette. Piper was arrested in the 100 block of 5th Ave SE on Fayette County warrants for original charges of Theft 2nd degree and Probation Violation.

At 1:49 p.m. on September 21st, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Gregg Eugene Latham, 59, of Oelwein. Latham was arrested, following a traffic stop at 20th St SE and Hwy 150, on charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - simple misdemeanor, Drug Tax Stamp violation - felony, Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drugs - serious misdemeanor, Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd or subsequent - felony, Violation of Restricted License, and Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.

At 3:01 p.m. on September 20th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Brenda Dee Steele, 54, of Oelwein. Steele was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor, and Interference with Official Acts - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 100 block of East Charles after a citizens report of an intoxicated person. 

At 1:53 p.m. on September 16th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Anthony Michael Euvino, 40, of Waterloo. Euvino was arrested in the 200 block of 1st Ave SE on a Fayette County warrant for original charges of Criminal Mischief - 2nd Degree, and Going Armed w/ Intent.

At 8:23 p.m. on September 16th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Gary Lee Cooper, 67, of Oelwein. Cooper was arrested on a charge of Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a citizens report of an intoxicated person in the 100 block of South Frederick Ave. 

At 6:19 p.m. on September 15th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Skylar Joseph Buhr, 32, of Oelwein. Buhr was arrested in the 1200 block of South Frederick Ave on a Fayette County warrant for an original charge of Failure to Complete IDAP.

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 10 block of East Charles at 10:10 a.m. on September 14th, 2021. A 2007 Dodge Charger driven by Abby Green collided with a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Robert Ries. Initial estimates of damage were $5000 to the vehicle driven by Green and $1500 to the vehicle driven by Ries. 

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at 3rd St and 7th Ave SW at 3:23 p.m. on September 13th, 2021. A 2013 Ford F150 driven by Frederick Cook collided with a 2004 Nissan Titan driven by Dennis Nuss. Initial estimates of damage were $5000 to the vehicle driven by Cook and $10,000 to the vehicle driven by Nuss. Cook was cited for Failure to Obey Stop Sign and Yield Right of Way. The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by Mercy Oelwein Ambulance and the Oelwein Fire Department.

At 7:59 p.m. on September 13th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Tanner Alan Steggall, 19, of Oelwein. Steggall was arrested on a charge of Assault while displaying a dangerous weapon - aggravated misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of 2nd Ave SE in Oelwein.

At 11:47 a.m. on September 11th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Jordan Johnson Gallmeyer, 29, of Oelwein. Gallmeyer was cited and released on a charge of Driving While License Suspended - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a report of suspicious activity in  the 700 block of 6th St NW in Oelwein.  

At 5:29 p.m. on September, 9th, 2021, the Oelwein Police Department arrested Megan Elizabeth McAllister, 32, of Oelwein. McAllister was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor, Interference with Official Acts - simple misdemeanor, and Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations - serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a report of a disturbance in the 100 block of South Frederick Ave in Oelwein. 

At 7:07 p.m. on September 8th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Daniel Joseph Hartney, 26, of Oelwein. Hartney was cited and released on a charge of Driving While License Suspended - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Frederick Ave.

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 2400 block of Rock Island Road at 4:43 p.m. on September 7th, 2021. A black 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Joshua Hildebrandt collided with a beige 2003 Buick Le Sabre driven by Shelley Ergen. Initial estimates of damage were $5000 to the vehicle driven by Hildebrandt and $1000 to the vehicle driven by Ergen. The Oelwein Police were assisted by Mercy Oelwein Ambulance and the Oelwein Fire Department.
