At 7:24 p.m. November 5th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Ralph DeAngelo Barron, 54, of Postville. Barron was arrested on a charge of Driving While License Suspended. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 10 block of 10th Ave NW in Oelwein.

At 8:26 p.m. on November 2nd, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Aaron Frank Bryant-Wright, 40, of Oelwein. Bryant-Wright was arrested on charges of Operating Under the Influence (3rd Offense) - felony, Eluding (speed over 25 over limit) - aggravated misdemeanor, and Driving While License Revoked - serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a citizens report of a vehicle that left the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hwy 150 and East Charles St in Oelwein. The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol and the Independence Police Department.

At 11:57 p.m. on October 29th,2021, Oelwein Police arrested Ashley Ann Ackerman, 27, of Oelwein. Ackerman was arrested in the 400 block of East Charles on a Buchanan County warrant for Failure to Appear for original charges of possession of controlled substance - 2nd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving while license revoked.

On October 27, 2021 at 3:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 400 block of 13th Avenue NW in Oelwein.  Officers cited and released Jammie Allen Aldrich, age 34 of Oelwein, for Driving While License Suspended and Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance.

On October 25, 2021 at 4:55 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the intersection of East Charles and 1st Avenue SE for a reported motor vehicle accident.  Unit 1, a black 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by Taggart James Kite, at a red light on East Charles Street proceeded to turn Southbound on hwy 150, failing to yield the right of way to on coming traffic.  Unit 2, a 2008 Ford F250, driven by Adam Dean Rahe, travelling southbound on hwy 150, struck the Pontiac in the area of the rear driver's side tire.  Unit 1 was found to be at fault.  No injuries were reported at the scene. 

On October 25, 2021 at 3:45 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 300 block of 5th Avenue SW in Oelwein.  Officers arrested Tyler Nicole Slater, age 19, of Independence on a charge of Driving While License Suspended.  Slater was also cited for Failure to Provide Proof of Insurance.

Oelwein Officers responded to the 10 block of 2nd St NW on October 25, 2021 at 7:15 p.m. for a reported disturbance.  Officers arrested James Thomas Allen, age 53 of Oelwein for Assault, a Simple Misdemeanor.

On October 25, 2021 at 9:05 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 600 block of 3rd Av SE in Oelwein.  Trenton James Husted, age 33 of Oelwein was cited into court on a charge of Driving While License Suspended.

At 8:28 p.m. on October 20th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Heather Ann Annis, 44, of Independence. Annis was arrested on charges of Eluding - felony, Reckless Driving - simple misdemeanor, Interference with Official Acts - serious misdemeanor, and Interference with Official Acts - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 500 block of West Charles in Oelwein. 

At 2:33 a.m. on October 18th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Gage Mathew Durnan, 22, of Garnavillo. Durnan was arrested on a charge of Driving While License Revoked - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 100 block of 2nd St SE in Oelwein.

At 11:56 a.m. on October 18th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Joseph Glenn Kane, 23, of Maynard. Kane was arrested on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault Displaying or Using a Weapon - aggravated misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a disturbance was reported in the 200 block of 1st Ave SE in Oelwein. 

At 3:26 p.m. on October 17th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Clayton Allen Bushaw, 26, of Oelwein. Bushaw was arrested in the 200 block of 6th Ave SE in Oelwein on a Fayette County warrant for Violation of Probation.

At 6:29 p.m. on October 16th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Austin Cody Maire, 25, of Oelwein. Maire was arrested on a charge of No Drivers License - simple misdemeanor and a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Theft 5th Degree. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 200 block of 1st St SE in Oelwein. 

At 6:46 p.m. on October 16th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Michael Eugene Lien, 36, of Oelwein. Lien was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor, Interference with Official Acts - simple misdemeanor, and Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations - serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 1300 block of South Frederick Ave in Oelwein following a citizens report of an intoxicated subject.
