Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 2200 block of South Frederick Ave at 3:37 p.m. on March 1st, 2022. A Chrysler van driven by William Austin collided with a parked Honda Civic. Initial estimates of damage were $2000 to the vehicle driven by Austin and $2500 to the parked vehicle. No citations were issued.

At 4:17 p.m. on March 1st, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Shanon Arthur Clark, 45, of Oelwein. Clark was cited and released on a charge of Driving While License Revoked - serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 500 block of Rock Island Road. 

At 12:47 p.m. on February 28th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Clayton Allen Bushaw, 27, of Oelwein. Bushaw was arrested in the 200 block of 1st Ave SE on Fayette County warrants for original charges of Failure to Complete Iowa Domestic Abuse Program, Harassment 2nd degree, Burglary 3rd degree, and Theft 3rd degree. 

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at 1st Ave SE and 2nd St SE at 9:55 a.m. on February 25th, 2022. A Chevy Cobalt driven by Marci Neal collided with a Chevy Cruze driven by Heather Petersen. There were no initial estimates of damage and no citations were issued.

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at 1st St and 9th Ave SE at 1:03 p.m. on February 22nd, 2022. A Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Gerald Wall collided with a Chevy Equinox driven by Michael Lien. No initial estimates of damage were given and no citations were issued. The Oelwein Police were assisted by Mercy Oelwein Ambulance and the Oelwein Fire Department. 

At 6:18 p.m. on February 19th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Ethan Lee Palmer, 47, of Oelwein. Palmer was arrested in the 300 block of 6th Ave SW on a Fayette County warrant for an original charge of Theft 2nd degree.

At 6:02 a.m. on February 17th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Christopher Neal Hofmann, 33, of Oelwein. Hofmann was arrested at the Oelwein Police Department on a Guthrie County warrant for Probation Violation.

At 10:07 p.m. on February 11th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Darrick Shawn Eubanks II, 27, of Oelwein. Eubanks was arrested in the 400 block of 13th Ave NW in Oelwein on a Fayette County warrant for an original charge of Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury and he was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance - Marijuana.

At 2:39 p.m. on February 7th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Erick Francisco Mateos, 22, of Oelwein. Mateos was arrested on charges of Driving While License Suspended and Providing False Identification Information to an Officer. This arrest was made following a traffic stop at 3rd Ave and 7th St SW in Oelwein.

At 3:59 p.m. on February 7th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Katherine Marie Lewis, 23, of Oelwein. Lewis was arrested on a charge of Driving While License Suspended. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 100 block of East Charles in Oelwein. 

At 2:17 p.m. on February 6th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Brady Leland Woodward, 23, of Oelwein. Woodward was cited and released on a charge of Driving While License Suspended. This arrest was made after a report of a disabled vehicle in the 300 block of West Charles.

At 12:05 a.m. on February 3rd, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Brandon Tyrone Green, 34, of Oelwein. Green was arrested on a charge of Operating While Intoxicated - serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a citizens report of a driving complaint in the 100 block of 5th Ave SE.
