On May 27, 2018 at 4:00 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to the scene of a one vehicle, property damage accident in the 2500 block of South Frederick.  Officers arrested Justin Linus Kuenen, age 37 of Oelwein on charges of Driving While Barred, an Aggravated Misdemeanor, Failure to Have SR22 Insurance, Serious Misdemeanor and Failure to Have Ignition Interlock Device, Serious Misdemeanor.  Kuennen was also cited for No Motorcycle License and Failure to Maintain Control.

On May 19, 2018 at 8:41 a.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of 2nd AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On May 19, 2018 at 11:38 a.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 300 block of 8^th AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On May 19, 2018 at 3:31p.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of 3rd AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

At 10: 22 p.m., on May 15, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Gary Frank Louch, 24, of Oelwein.  Louch was arrested on a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear on original charges of two counts of Theft 5^th Degree.  This arrest followed Officer’s interaction with the subject in the 500 block of Rock Island Road.

On May 14, 2018 at 6:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Zachary Allen Smith, age 33 of Oelwein on a charge of Theft 2nd Degree, a Class "D" Felony.  This arrest culminates two burglary investigations.  Smith was also arrested on a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant, original charge of Domestic Assault.

On May 10, 2018 at 11:51 a.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 2000 block of Hwy 150S.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On May 10, 2018 at 1:05 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 1^st AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

At 7:12 p.m., on May 6, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Darrick Shawn Eubanks Jr, 24, of Waterloo.  Eubanks was arrested on a Black Hawk County warrant for Voluntary Absence from Custody on original charges of Domestic Abuse and Criminal Mischief 3^rd Degree.  This arrest followed Officer’s interaction with the subject in the 10 block E Charles.

At 4:10 a.m., on May 5, 2018 a stolen vehicle report was called into the Oelwein Police Department.  A black 2003 BMW 325XI was reported stolen from the 100 block of South Frederick Avenue. The vehicle was located later in the morning and returned to the owner.

On May 4, 2018 at 7:46 a.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 10 block of 5^th ST NW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On May 4, 2018 at 9:36 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 10 block of 1^st AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On May 4, 2018 at 8:04 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Gerald Eugene Greathead, 69, of Oelwein.  Greathead was charged with Public Intoxication-Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest occurred after an incident in the 300 block of West Charles.

On May 2, 2018 at 9:30 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a disturbance in the 10 block of 7th Avenue NE.  Officers arrested Ryan Zachery Martin, age 36 of Oelwein on a Fayette County Sheriff's Warrant for Probation Violation.
