On August 15, 2018 Oelwein Officers cited Danielle Darlene Kleppe, age 23 of Oelwein for Failure to Abate Property as Ordered for property in the 500 block of 4th AV SE. This incident stemmed from a report taken on May 31, 2018.
On August 15th 2018 at 9:44 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 5th ST NW. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
On August 13, 2018 at 7:10 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Christopher Allan Manning, age 31 of Oelwein on charges from two Dubuque County warrants with original charges of Theft 4th Degree and a Probation Violation on a Theft 3rd Degree charge.
On August 12, 2018 at 1:28 a.m., Oelwein Police performed a traffic stop in the 100 block 1st AV NW. Officers cited and released Whitney Jo Sumner, age 29 of Oelwein on the charge of Driving while License Suspended.
On August 12, 2018 at 2:11 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Matthew David Rozinek, 30 of Oelwein. Rozineck was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd –Aggravated Misdemeanor and Assault causing Bodily Harm Serious Misdemeanor. This arrest followed and incident in the 100 block 5th ST NW.
On August 12, 2018 at 8:04 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Kashell Elexis Allison, 23, of Oelwein. Allison was arrested on a Black Hawk County Warrant for Voluntary Absence on an original charge of Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Deliver as well as Possession of Methamphetamine. This arrest came after a call in the 800 block 5th ST SE
On August 11, 2018 at 3:16 p.m., Oelwein Officers were called to the intersection of 2nd ST NW and North Frederick Avenue for a reported two vehicle, property damage accident. Mardella Lou Deaton, age 82 of Waterloo, was cited for Improper use of lanes.
On August 11th 2018 at 11:25 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 5th AV SE. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
On August 9, 2018 at 11:30 a.m., Oelwein Officers were called to the 300 block of East Charles for a reported two vehicle, property damage accident. Lacy Jo Welch, age 32 of Oelwein, was cited for Failure to Obey Stop Sign.
Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop on August 9, 2018 at 3:35 p.m. in the 100 block of 5th Street NW. Officers arrested Tyler Terren Thompson, age 26 of Oelwein, for Driving While License Barred, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
On August 9, 2018 at 7:50 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a call of a dog running at large in the 100 block of 1st Avenue NW. Officers cited Melissa Rae Hempstead, age 41 of Oelwein, on a charge of Allowing a Dog to Run at Large.
On August 9, 2018 at 2:51 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Maureen Elizabeth Nolan, 59, of Oelwein. Nolan was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest followed an incident in the 10 block of North Frederick Avenue.
On August 8th 2018 at 8:59 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 1200 block of South Frederick. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
On August 7th 2018 at 11:13 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 100 block of County Line Rd A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
On August 7th 2018 at 12:30 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Travis Michael Owens, 26, of Oelwein. Owens was arrested on a 1st Judicial District Parole Violation Warrant on original charges of Assault, Criminal Mischief, 2nd Degree, Possession with Intent and Willful Injury. This arrest came after an incident in the 400 block 1st AV NE.
On August 6, 2018 at 10:25 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 500 block of East Charles. Officers arrested Alex Robert Pope, age 19 of Strawberry Point on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Serious Misdemeanor.
On August 2nd, 2018 at 3:43 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Amanda Lyn Carson, 37, of Oelwein Carson was arrested on a Blackhawk County Warrant for Carrying of Weapons and Possession of Methamphetamine-1st Offense, 2 Buchanan County Warrants for Violation of Pretrial Release as well as Theft 5th Degree-Simple Misdemeanor, Interference with Official Acts-Simple Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest took place after an incident in the 1300 block of South Frederick Avenue.
