On July 8, 2018 at 1:10 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a verbal dispute in the 100 block of 5th St NW.  Officers arrested Brandon David Latham, age 22 of Oelwein on a charge of Enhanced Public Intoxication, a Serious Misdemeanor.

On July 6, 2018 at 9:50 p.m., in the 800 block of 1st Avenue NE, Oelwein Police arrested Robert Lee McClaren, age 31 of Oelwein for a Fayette County Sheriff's warrant for Failure to Appear for an original charge of Violating Municipal Code of the City of Oelwein-Failure to Abate Property as Ordered.

On July 4, 2018 at 2:10 a.m., Oelwein Police performed a traffic stop in the First block of 1st Avenue SE.  Officers arrested James Stanford Adams Jr, age 25 of Oelwein on charges of Driving While Barred, Aggravated Misdemeanor; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Misdemeanor; and Possession of Marijuana with Intent to Deliver, a Class "D" Felony.

On July 4th, 2018 at 7:15 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Mykala Lynn Meike, age 24 of Oelwein for a Fayette County Sheriff's Office warrant, original charge of Theft 2nd Degree.

Oelwein Officers cited Mitchell Evan Tafolla, age 26 of Oelwein for Discharging Fireworks Within the City Limits.  This incident occurred on July 4, 2018 at 9:45 p.m.

On July 1, 2018 at 11:10. Oelwein Police arrested Tyler Mitchel Robinson, 24, of Lamont. Robinson was arrested on 2 Manchester Police Department Warrants, one for Theft 4^th Degree and the other for Driving while License Barred.  This arrest followed a traffic stop in the 10 block 2^nd AV SE

On June 30^th, 2018 at 8:42 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Renee Marie McDonald, 58, of Vinton.  McDonald was arrested and charged with a Violation of a No Contact Order- Simple Misdemeanor.  This followed an interaction with an officer, the subject and the protected party in the 10 block 1^st ST SW.

On June 28, 2018 at 3:20 p.m. Oelwein Officers arrested Franklin Ray Brown, age 53 of Fairbank for a Buchanan County Sheriff's Warrant for Probation Violation, original charge Amphetamine Possession.  Brown has an addition Probation Violation warrant out of Linn County.

On June 23, 2018 at 2:15 p.m. Oelwein Officers arrested Joshua Conrad Avenson, age 27 of Oelwein, for a Fayette County Sheriff's warrant for Failure to Serve Jail Time.  Avenson was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor.

Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 10 block of 4th Avenue SW on June 24, 2018 at 1:15 p.m.  Officers arrested Vanessa Renee Neeley, age 28 of Oelwein on charges of Possession of Marijuana, Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor.

On June 22^st 2018 at 1:46 p.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 500 block of 5^th AV NW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

At 9:39 a.m., on June 21^st, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Ryan Zachary Martin, 36, of Oelwein.  Martin was arrested on Two Fayette County Warrants: 1^st was Prohibited Acts Mfg, Del, Cons Meth and the second warrant was Failure to appear on an original charge of Driving While Barred.  This arrest followed an officer’s interaction with the subject in the 10 block 7^th AV NE.  The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Iowa State Patrol.

On June 21^st 2018 at 9:43a.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of 10^th ST SW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On June 21^st 2018 at 2:58 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 700 block of 3rd AV SW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On June 17, 2018 at 2:41 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Adam Dean Nichols, 28, of Oelwein.  Nichols was arrested and charged with Eluding while under the influence of alcohol- Class D Felony.  The arrest followed a pursuit that was initiated in Oelwein and terminated in Independence.  Oelwein police were assisted by Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office and Independence Police Department

On June 17^th 2018 at 7:37 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 500 block of 3rd AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On June 17^th 2018 at 8:03 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 500 block of 4th AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

At 10:42 a.m., on June 17, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Gerald Eugene Greathead, 70, of Oelwein.  Greathead was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Public Intoxication.

At 7:39 p.m., on June 17, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Tywan Dwayne Robinson, 21, of Waterloo.  Robinson was arrested on a Blackhawk County Warrant for Probation Violation on original charges of two counts of Forgery

At 10:02 p.m., on June 17, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Donald Charles Moore, 42, of Macon Georgia.  Robinson was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for Contempt of Court on an original charge of Possession of Marijuana.
