On August 9, 2018 at 11:30 a.m., Oelwein Officers were called to the 300 block of East Charles for a reported two vehicle, property damage accident. Lacy Jo Welch, age 32 of Oelwein, was cited for Failure to Obey Stop Sign.
Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop on August 9, 2018 at 3:35 p.m. in the 100 block of 5th Street NW. Officers arrested Tyler Terren Thompson, age 26 of Oelwein, for Driving While License Barred, an Aggravated Misdemeanor.
On August 9, 2018 at 7:50 p.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a call of a dog running at large in the 100 block of 1st Avenue NW. Officers cited Melissa Rae Hempstead, age 41 of Oelwein, on a charge of Allowing a Dog to Run at Large.
On August 9, 2018 at 2:51 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Maureen Elizabeth Nolan, 59, of Oelwein. Nolan was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest followed an incident in the 10 block of North Frederick Avenue.
On August 8th 2018 at 8:59 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 1200 block of South Frederick. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
On August 7th 2018 at 11:13 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 100 block of County Line Rd A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
On August 7th 2018 at 12:30 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Travis Michael Owens, 26, of Oelwein. Owens was arrested on a 1st Judicial District Parole Violation Warrant on original charges of Assault, Criminal Mischief, 2nd Degree, Possession with Intent and Willful Injury. This arrest came after an incident in the 400 block 1st AV NE.
On August 6, 2018 at 10:25 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 500 block of East Charles. Officers arrested Alex Robert Pope, age 19 of Strawberry Point on a charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Serious Misdemeanor.
On August 2nd, 2018 at 3:43 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Amanda Lyn Carson, 37, of Oelwein Carson was arrested on a Blackhawk County Warrant for Carrying of Weapons and Possession of Methamphetamine-1st Offense, 2 Buchanan County Warrants for Violation of Pretrial Release as well as Theft 5th Degree-Simple Misdemeanor, Interference with Official Acts-Simple Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia-Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest took place after an incident in the 1300 block of South Frederick Avenue.
On July 30, 2018 at 8:10 p.m. Oelwein Officers arrested Layne Isaac Williams, age 22 and Abigayle Marie Rickertson, age 19, both of Oelwein on warrants from the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office. Original charges on these warrants are Burglary 3rd Degree and Theft 2nd Degree.
On July 29 at 1:54 a.m., Oelwein Police cited Madison Meyer, 20, and Dominick Knowles, 19, of Oelwein. Both individuals were cited for Possession of Alcohol under the Legal Age. Two other Juveniles were referred to Juvenile Court Services for Possession of Alcohol under the legal age. This citation resulted from a call in the 10 block 5th AV SE.
On July 29th 2018 at 11:13 a.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of 4th ST SW. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
On July 29, 2018 at 1:44 Oelwein Police arrested Megan Michele Larkin, 40, of Oelwein. Larkin was arrested on a Buchanan County Warrant for Violation of a Court Order on an original charge of No Contact Order. Larkin was also charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia- Simple Misdemeanor This arrest came in the 10 block of 1st AV SE.
On July 28th 2018 at 12:05 p.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 200 block of 4th ST SW. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
On July 28, 2018 at 12:21 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested Jeffrey Ryan Wilson, 31, of Oelwein. Wilson. Wilson was charged with Driving while License Barred-Aggravated Misdemeanor. This arrest followed a traffic stop in the 500 block of W Charles.
On July 28th 2018 at 12:25 p.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 300 block of 8th AV NE. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
