At 9:18pm on May 12, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Richard Roy Bennington, 46, of Oelwein.  Bennington was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance (Marijuana) 1st Offense - Serious Misdemeanor, Interference with Official Acts causing Bodily Injury - Serious Misdemeanor, Domestic Abuse Assault 1st Offense - Simple Misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made following a report of a domestic disturbance in the 1800 block of Palace Rd.

At 10:27 on May 12, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Jessica Ann Marie Buhr, 33, of Oelwein.  Buhr was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense - Aggravated Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made after arriving at Buhr's residence for a call for service, when officers observed illegal substances in plain view within the residence.

At 1157am on May 11, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Angel Marie Schuneman, 37, of Oelwein.  Schuneman was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury - Serious Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made following reports of fighting in the 100 block of S Frederick Ave.

At 6:22pm on May 11, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested John Antonio Medina, 38, of Oelwein.  Medina was charged with Driving While Barred - Aggravated Misdemeanor and Driving While License Under Suspension - Scheduled Offense.  This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 500 block of 1st Ave SE.

At 10:32am on May 10, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Joshua Michael Lillibridge, 25, of Oelwein.  Lillibridge was arrested on a Fayette County warrant for Violation of Probation.  This arrest was made in the 200 block of 9th Ave SW.

On May 9, 2025, at approximately 9:00pm, Oelwein Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Frederick for an equipment violation. As a result, Jacob Edward Kalb, 27, of Oelwein was arrested for Driving While License Revoked – Serious Misdemeanor.

At 12:12pm on May 8, 2025, Oelwein Police charged Nathaniel Jeffery Rohrick, 32, of Oelwein with a Dog at Large violation.  Rohrick was issued a citation and a summons to court for the violation following a report of a loose dog in the 1 block of 11th Ave SW.

At 7:30pm on May 8, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Jimmy Milton Campbell Jr., 55, of Oelwein.  Campbell Jr. was charged with Operating While Intoxicated 1st Offense - Serious Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made in the 100 block of 8th Ave NW after an investigation into a report of a vehicle striking the wall while driving through the viaduct on W Charles St.

At 10:04pm on May 5, 2025, Oelwein Police charged Lorena Irene Moreno, 32, of Oelwein with a Dog at Large violation.  Moreno was issued a citation and a summons to court for the infraction, following reports of an aggressive dog on the loose in the 10 block of 5th St NW.

At 11:33pm on May 6, 2025, Oelwein Police charged Nathaniel Jeffery Rohrick, 32, of Oelwein with a Dog at Large violation.  Rohrick was issued a citation and a summons to court for the infraction, following reports of a loose dog being aggressive to other dogs in the 200 block of 7th Ave NW.

On May 3, 2025, at approximately 1:07am, Oelwein Officers arrested Mason Joseph Meyer, 26, of Oelwein. Meyer was charged with Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor and Possession of a Controlled Substance - Marijuana – 1st Offense – Serious Misdemeanor. Oelwein Officers also arrested Christopher Dean Baker, 45, of Oelwein. Baker was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana – 3rd Offense – Aggravated Misdemeanor.

At approximately 9:40pm, Oelwein Officers arrested Kenneth Craig Powers, 45, of Oelwein with Public Intoxication. Powers was taken into custody in the 200 block of 4th Avenue S.E. after a reported altercation in the 400 block of 4th Avenue S.E.

At 11:39am on May 2, 2025, Oelwein Police charged a 14-year-old female juvenile with Minor Using Tobacco/Vape Device 1st Offense.  The juvenile was issued a citation and a summons to court following a report of a student in possession of a vape device at Oelwein Middle School.  The juvenile was released to guardians, and the matter has been referred to Juvenile Court.

At 2:12pm on May 2, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Tosha Danielle Medina, 40, of Oelwein.  Medina was arrested on a Buchanan County warrant for a Motion for Recommitment.  This arrest was made in the 600 block of W Charles St.

At 3:59pm on May 2, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Preston Lee-John Schneider, 20, of Oelwein.  Schneider was charged with Assault Causing Bodily Injury - Serious Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made following reports of an altercation in the 600 block of E Charles St.

At 8:32am on April 29, 2025, Oelwein Police charged Jacob Harrison Brackin, 19, of Oelwein, with Driving While License Suspended.  Brackin was issued a citation and a summons to court for the infraction following a traffic stop in the 300 block of 12th Ave SE.

At 1:13am on April 28, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Rhonda Renee Schmit, 58, of Oelwein.  Schmit was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault 2nd Offense - Aggravated Misdemeanor.  This arrest was made following a report of a domestic disturbance in the 900 block of 1st Ave NE.

At 10:41am on April 28, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Mellony Jean Harris, 36, of Oelwein.  Harris was arrested on a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear for Violation of Court Order.  This arrest was made in the 900 block of S Frederick Ave.
