Tuesday Afternoon Search Warrants Executed - Arrests Made
 
 
At approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, the Oelwein Police Department, with the assistance of the Iowa State Patrol, executed a search warrant in the 10 block of 1st Avenue NE in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant, illegal controlled substances were located and seized. The following subjects have been arrested and charged:
 
 
1) James Martin Crawford, 65 of Oelwein
Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd offense- Methamphetamine – Aggravated Misdemeanor
Child Endangerment- Aggravated Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor
 
 
2) Christina Marie Heins, 49 of Oelwein
Child Endangerment- Aggravated Misdemeanor
Possession of Controlled Substance 1st offense- Methamphetamine – Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor
 
 
3) Alanda Nevelle Starkey, 40 of Oelwein
Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd offense- Methamphetamine – Class D Felony
Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd offense- Marijuana – Class D Felony
Child Endangerment- Aggravated Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor
 
 
4) Taylor Marie Johnson, 25 of Oelwein
Child Endangerment- Aggravated Misdemeanor
Possession of Controlled Substance 1st- Marijuana- Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor
 
 
At approximately 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, the Oelwein Police Department, with the assistance of the Iowa State Patrol, executed an additional search warrant in the 200 block of 2nd Street SE in Oelwein. During the course of the search warrant, illegal controlled substances were located and seized. The following subjects have been arrested and charged:
 
 
1) Marissa Kay Woods, 25 of Oelwein
Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver Cocaine - Class C Felony
Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp- Class D Felony
Possession of Controlled Substance 1st- Marijuana- Serious Misdemeanor
Unlawful Possession of Prescription Drug- Serious Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor
 
 
2) Garrett Scott Boleman, 39 of Charles City:
Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd offense- Marijuana – Aggravated Misdemeanor
Interference With Official Acts- Simple Misdemeanor
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor
 
 
The subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Fayette County Jail pending an initial appearance. Additional charges are pending, and these cases are still under investigation.

June 29, 2025

On June 29, 2025, at approximately 6:30pm, Oelwein Officers arrested Nathaniel Jeffery Rohrick, 33, of Oelwein on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault – Injury or Mental Illness – 1st Offense – Serious Misdemeanor. This arrest took place in the 700 block of 2nd St NW after a reported incident.

June 25, 2025

On June 25, 2025, at approximately 9:07pm, Oelwein Officers arrested Matthew Sterling Morris, 43, of Oelwein. Morris was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault – 2nd Offense – Aggravated Misdemeanor and Interference with Official Acts – Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest took place in the 10 block of 6th avenue SE after a report of a disturbance.

June 24, 2025

On June 24, 2025, at approximately 2:15pm, Oelwein Officers arrested Jayden Michael Heidt, 23, of Oelwein and Ian Nathaniel Morgan, 24, of Oelwein. Both Heidt and Morgan were arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for Criminal Mischief – 2nd Degree. These arrests took place near the intersection of North Frederick Ave and West Charles St.

June 22, 2025

On June 22, 2025, Oelwein Police made two arrests following an investigation into a report of a stolen vehicle.

 

Oelwein Police arrested Tonya Mary Pennington, 49, of Oelwein and Jerome Robert Schuneman, 42, of Oelwein.  Pennington and Schuneman were each charged with 1st Degree Criminal Mischief - Class C Felony, 2nd Degree Theft - Class D Felony, and 3rd Degree Burglary - Class D Felony.

 

The vehicle, which had received significant damage, was also recovered.  The Oelwein Police Department was assisted by the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office in this investigation.

June 16, 2025

On June 16, 2025, at approximately, 7:56pm, Oelwein Officers arrested Clorissa Jo Miller-Fuller, 24, of Oelwein, on an active Fayette County Warrant for Possession of Controlled Substance – Marijuana – 1st Offense. This arrest took place in the 100 block of West Charles St.

June 14, 2025

On June 14, 2025, at approximately 3:30am, Oelwein Officers arrested Shauna Jean Snyder, 35, of Oelwein. Snyder was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for Trespass 1st offense. Snyder was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance – 2nd Offense – Aggravated Misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor, and Controlled Substance Violation – Class D Felony. This arrest took place in the 2300 block of South Frederick after an officer witnessed a subject in the Oelwein City Park after hours.

June 12, 2025

On June 12, 2025, at approximately 6:30pm, Oelwein Officers arrested Toyna Mary Pennington, 49, of Oelwein. Pennington was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant for Theft – 5th Degree. This arrest took place in the 100 block of South Frederick.

June 11, 2025

On June 11, 2025, at approximately 11:03pm, Oelwein Officers took a report of a disturbance in the 10 block of 6th Street NW. As a result of the investigation Trisha Ann Hanks, 39, of Oelwein, was arrested. Hanks was charged with Interference with Official acts – Simple Misdemeanor and Domestic Abuse Assault – 1st Offense – Simple Misdemeanor.

June 8, 2025

At 8:16pm on June 8, 2025, Oelwein Police arrested Regina Rena Larsen, 52, of Oelwein, following a traffic stop in the 300 block of 6th Ave SE. Larsen was charged with Driving While Barred - Aggravated Misdemeanor.  Larsen was also issued a citation for Failure to Provide Proof of Financial Liability.
