Funds that were personally provided by an Oelwein Police Officer, were used to purchase baskets that were stocked with food to help families that may need a little extra help this holiday season. The Oelwein Senior High School students volunteered their time to help officers prepare and then deliver the baskets to twenty families in the community. “Our employees do a great job of serving our community in so many ways all year long and this project and partnership further displays our commitment to helping and being there for everyone in the community,” stated Chief Jeremy Logan. “It is projects like these that truly displays the compassion that our employees have for others.”
