Officers arrested Mark Allen Shaw, age 54 of Oelwein on charges of Prohibited Acts, a Class C Felony; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Simple Misdemeanor; and Driving While License Suspended, Simple misdemeanor.
On March 13, 2018 at 9:00 p.m., Oelwien Officers arrested Matthew Michael Wenthe, age 49 of Oelwein, on a charge of Theft 5th Degree, a Simple Misdemeanor. This charge is the result of an incident that occurred on January 31, 2018.

Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 10 block of 1st Avenue NE on March 10th, 2018 at 2:05 a.m. Officers cited and released Robert Michael Ainsworth Jr, age 46 of Oelwein for Driving While License Suspended. Ainsworth was also given an Equipment Repair Order for a faulty headlamp on his vehicle.
On March 9, 2018 at 11:05 a.m., in the 1500 block of South Frederick Avenue Oelwein Officers arrested Dakota Wayne Williams, 26 years old from Waterloo for a Bremer County Sheriff's Office Warrant for Theft in the 5th Degree.
On March 07, 2018 at 01:26 a.m. the Oelwein Police Department took a report of Theft from the 10 block of 2nd ST NW. This incident remains under investigation.
Oelwein Police Department investigated a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 11th Ave and West Charles St at 1:43 p.m., on March 6, 2018. A Yellow 1991 Ford LN700 driven by Matthew Rogers forced a silver 2011 Ford F150 driven by Jeffrey Schutte off the road causing it to strike a pole.
On March 5, 2018 at 1:45 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Cara Jean Petersen, age 33 of Hazleton for two Fayette County Sheriff's warrants. Original charges for the warrants being Violation of No Contact Order and Filing a False Report.

On February 27, 2018 at 1:15 p.m., in the 150 block of South Frederick, Oelwein Officers arrested Troy Christopher Miller, age 29 of Oelwein fr three Fayette County Sheriff's warrants with original charges of Stalking, Criminal Mischief 3rd, and Burglary 3rd.
On February 1, 2018 at 1:0 a.m., Oelwein Officers received a report of shoplifting in the 10 block of 1st St SE in Oelwein. After investigating the incident, on February 27, 2018 Officers arrested Nick David Walker, age 40 of Oelwein for Theft 5th Degree, a Simple Misdemeanor.
On February 23, 2018 at 11:35 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Krishauna Latazia Wilson, age 27 of Readlyn for a Black Hawk County warrant, original charge being Criminal Mischief 4th Degree.
