On June 6, 2019 at 2:56 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Elizabeth Susan Schmidtke, 31, of Fayette. Schmidtke was arrested on 2 Fayette County Warrants: 1st Warrant for Theft 5th and 2nd Warrant for Failure to Appear on the original charge of Theft 5th Degree. This arrest followed a traffic stop in the 10 block 5th AV NW.
On July 5, 2019 at 1:57 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Stephanie Helen Lane, 28 of Oelwein. Lane was arrested and charged with Driving while License Revoked-Serious Misdemeanor. This arrest followed a traffic stop in the 200 block West Charles.
On July 4, 2019 at 2:36 p.m., Oelwein Police arrested David Duane Latham , 62, of Oelwein. Latham was arrested on a Fayette County Warrant on an original charge of Fraudulent Practices. This arrest followed an officer’s interaction with the subject in the 600 block 1st AV NE.
On July 1, 2019 at 2:30 p.m., Oelwein Officers stopped a vehicle at 3rd Av NW and West Charles. Officers cited the driver, 24 year old Jedidiah Lee Parks, 24 years old, for Driving While License Suspended.
At 8:00 p.m. on July 1st, 2019 Oelwein Officers responded to the 600 block of North Frederick for a reported Property Damage Accident. Officers cited driver, Taylor Marie Johnson, age 19 of Oelwein, for Driving While License Suspended, Failure to Have Insurance and Improper Registration.
Oelwein Officers arrested Nathan Michael Williams, age 31 of Oelwein, for Driving While Barred, following a traffic stop on July 1, 2019 at 8:40 p.m., in the 300 block of 3rd Av SE.
At 1:10 p.m., on July 1, 2019 Oelwein Officers arrested Dillon John Sommerfelt, age 32 for a Parole Violation Warrant from the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office. Sommerfelt was arrested in the 300 block of 1st Av NW in Oelwein.
On June 30, 2019 at 4:14 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Tyler Terren Thompson, 27, of Oelwein. Thompson was arrested on a Buchanan County Probation Violation Warrant on an original charge of Possession of a Controlled Substance. This arrest followed officer’s interaction with the subject in the 100 block 12th ST SE

On June 28, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Donald Eugene Latham, age 62 of Oelwein on a charge of Public Intoxication, 3rd or Subsequent Offense, an Aggravated Misdemeanor. This arrest stemmed from Officers interaction with Latham in the 500 block of 5th Street NE.
