On November 13, 2018 at 7:58 p.m. Oelwein Officers cited Collin Wilson Halligan, age 19 of Oelwein for Failure to Abate Property as Ordered for property in the 500block of 1st ST NE. This incident stemmed from a report taken on September 6, 2018.
On November 13, 2018 at 8:25 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 10 block of 1st AV SE in Oelwein. Officers cited Kaitlyn Makay Rathjen, age 23 of Oelwein for Driving While License Suspended, a Simple Misdemeanor. Rathjen was also given an Equipment Repair Order for a headlamp.
On November 7, 2018 at 8:25 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 700 block of Hwy 150 South in Oelwein. Officers arrested Noah Christopher Ward, age 20 of Cedar Rapids for Driving While License Suspended, a Simple Misdemeanor. Ward was also given an Equipment Repair Order for a headlamp and a brake light.
On November 6, 2018 at 9:10 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in the 200 block of 3rd Street NW in Oelwein. Officers arrested Dakota Lee Lovell, age 25 of Oelwein on a charge of Domestic Abuse Assault, a Serious Misdemeanor.
At 5:05 p.m. on November 6, 2018, Oelwein Officers were called to the 200 block of 3rd Street NW and arrested Dakota Lee Lovell, age 25 of Oelwein, for Violation of a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order, Simple Misdemeanor.
On November 5, 2018 at 3:30 a.m., Oelwein Officers responded to a burglary alarm reported in the first block of East Charles in Oelwein. This incident remains under investigation. Anyone with information on this case is encouraged to call the Oelwein Police Department at 319-283-4311.
On November 5, 2018 at 8:55 p.m., Oelwein Officers were called to the 100 block of 7th Avenue SE for a subject being disorderly. Officers arrested Torrey Edward Willie, age 36 of Oelwein on charges of Enhanced Public Intoxication, Aggravated Misdemeanor and Disorderly Conduct, Simple Misdemeanor. Willie was also served an arrest warrant out of Chickasaw County, with an original charge of Assault Causing Injury.
Oelwein Officers investigated a theft occurring in the 100 block of 1st Street SE. On October 31, 2018 at 4:05 p.m., Officers arrested Steven Charles Coonrad, age 45 of Masonville on a charge of Theft 2nd Degree, a Class "D" Felony.
On October 31 at 10:25 p.m., in the 10 block of 1st Avenue SE, Oelwein Officers arrested Andrew James Nagel, age 20 of Oelwein on a Fayette County Sheriff's Warrant, original charge being Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, filed by the Oelwein Police Department.
On October 230h, 2018 at 7:22 a.m., Officers took a report of Criminal Mischief in the 600 block of 4th AV SW. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
On October 30, 2018 at 9:01 p.m. Oelwein Officers cited David Duane Latham, age 61 of Oelwein for Failure to Abate Property as Ordered for property in the 600 block of 1st ST NE. This incident stemmed from a report taken on September 18, 2018.
On October 29, 2018 at 11:00 p.m., in the 100 block of 4th Avenue NE, Oelwein Officers arrested Shawna Lee Warnke, age 39 of Oelwein on a Fayette County Sheriff's Office Warrant for Disorderly Conduct.
On October 28, 2018 at 11:00 p.m. Oelwein Officers responded to a report of a disturbance in the 1 block of 6th Street NE. Officers arrested Dustin Scott Deans, age 22 of Powhatten, Virginia on a charge of Criminal Mischief 4th Degree.
On October 24, 2018 at 9:51 a.m., Oelwein Police arrested Steven Louis Hovey, age 61 of Fairbank. Hovey was arrested and charged with Theft 5th Degree- Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest followed and incident in the 100 block of 2nd ST SE.
On October 27th, 2018 at 4:30 a.m., Officers took a report of a Burglary in the 10 block of 4th ST NW. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.
