At 12:55pm on November 14, 2024, Oelwein Police charged a 15-year-old female juvenile with Minor Using Tobacco/Vape Device 1st Offense. The juvenile was cited and released to guardians following a report of a student using a vape pen at the high school. This matter has been referred to Juvenile Court.
At 10:09am on November 15, 2024, Oelwein Police arrested Brandy Lynn Schoultz, 39, of Oelwein. Schoultz was arrested on two Fayette County warrants for original charges of Possession of a Controlled Substance 2nd Offense - Aggravated Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest was made following Schoultz turning themself in at the Oelwein Police Department lobby.
On November 12th, 2024, at approximately 2:20p.m., Oelwein officers arrested Blake Michael Kerns, 40, for refusal to sign citations indicating the promise to appear in court for Speeding and Failure to Yield to Emergency Vehicle. This arrest took place in the 100 block of East Line Road following a traffic stop.
At 1:32pm on November 10, 2024, Oelwein Police arrested Andrew Lee Heth, 37, of Oelwein. Heth was charged with Driving While Barred - Aggravated Misdemeanor and Operating Without Ignition Interlock Device - Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 300 block of 6th Ave SE.
At 7:45pm on November 10, 2024, Oelwein Police arrested Ronald Eugene Utt, 33, of Oelwein. Utt was arrested on a Buchanan County warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Animal Neglect with Serious Injury or Death - Aggravated Misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 400 block of 7th Ave SE.
At 8:49am on November 6, 2024, Oelwein Police charged a 14-year-old female juvenile with Minor Using Tobacco/Vape Product 2nd Offense. The juvenile was cited and released to guardians following a report of a student possessing a vape pen at the high school. This matter has been referred to Juvenile Court.
On November 5, 2024, at approximately 4:09 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Ronald Eugene Utt, 33, of Oelwein on two Fayette County Arrest Warrants on original charges of Driving While Barred and Driving While License Suspended. Utt was taken into custody in the 400 block of 7th Avenue S.E.
On November 3rd, 2024, at approximately 1:00 a.m. Oelwein Police Officers arrested Emily Cristine Grasso, 32, of Oelwein. Grasso was charged with Domestic Abuse Assault – Injury or Mental Illness – 1st Offense. This arrest took place in the 100 block of East Charles.
On October 27th, 2024, Oelwein Police investigated a hit and run accident in the 10 block of 6th St N.W., where a vehicle had hit and broke a fire hydrant and then left the scene. As a result of the investigation, Oelwein Officers cited Jenna Marie Walker, 25, of Oelwein. Walker was cited for Failure to Maintain Registration Plate, Leaving the Scene of Accident – Property Damage Only. Walker was also summoned to court for Operating Without Interlock and Driving While License Denied, Suspended, Cancelled or Revoked.
At 12:14am on November 2, 2024, Oelwein Police arrested Caleb Lee Bradshaw, 27, of Oelwein. Bradshaw was charged with Attempting to Disarm a Police Officer - Class D Felony, Assaulting a Police Officer - Serious Misdemeanor, and Interference with Official Acts - Simple Misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a report of disorderly conduct in the 400 block of N Frederick Ave.
On October 30th, 2024, at approximately 12:40 a.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Tonya Auzetta Stewart, 18, of Oelwein. Stewart was arrested on a Black Hawk County warrant for an original charge of Assault Causing Bodily Injury or Mental Illness. This arrest took place in the 500 Block of Rock Island Road.
On October 29, 2024, at approximately 8:10am, Oelwein Officers cited and released Charles Anthony Serrano, 28, of Oelwein, for Driving While License Suspended. This citation was issued following a traffic stop in the 600 block of 3rd St S.E.
At approximately 5:15pm, Oelwein officers arrested Cameron Ray Seeders, 22, of Oelwein. Seeders was arrested on two Fayette County warrants on original charges of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance – Marijuana 1st Offense. Seeders was taken into custody in the 100-blk of North Frederick
At 3:04pm on October 27, 2024, Oelwein Police charged Gary Roy Wright, 59, of Oelwein, with Driving While License Suspended. Wright was cited and released with a summons to appear following a traffic stop in the 100 block of N Frederick Ave.
