On September 5^th, 2018 at 11:19a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft at the corner of 13^th AV NW and W Charles. A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On September 4^th, 2018 at 11:27a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 400 block of 2^nd AV NE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On September 3, 2018 at 3:40 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop in the 700 block of 7th Avenue SE.  Officers arrested David Michael Hurst, age 48 of Oelwein on a charge of Driving While License Suspended, a Simple Misdemeanor.

On September 2, 2018 at 8:25 p.m., Oelwein Officers performed a traffic stop near the intersection of East Charles and Outer Road.  Officers cited and released Barbara Rose Bitterlie, age 52 of Cedar Falls for Driving While License Suspended.

On August 31st 2018 at 11:01p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 100 block of 2^nd ST NE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On August 30^th 2018 at 4:12 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 300 block of 4^th AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

At 8:47 p.m., on August 30^th, 2018 Oelwein Police arrested Jeffrey Paul Spragg, 65, of Oelwein.  Spragg was arrested on a Virginia warrant on original charges of Felony Aggravated Sexual Battery Victim less than 13 YO.  This arrest took place in the 800 block of South Frederick.

On August 27, 2018 at 3:30 p.m., Oelwein Police were called to a disturbance in the 100 block of West Charles.  Officers subsequently arrested Barbara Ann Griffiths, age 38 of Oelwein For Possession of Controlled Substance, a Serious Misdemeanor.

Oelwein Officers arrested Rick Alan Butterfield, age 47, of Independence on two counts of Theft in the 5th Degree, both Simple Misdemeanors.  The arrest stemmed from an incident on August 27, 2018 at 7:55 p.m. in the 100 block of 2nd Street SE.

On August 25^nd 2018 at 11:31 a.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 10 block of 5^th AV SE.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

The Oelwein Police Department took a report of a one vehicle, personal injury accident in the 1300 block of 2^nd ST SE.  On August 22, 2018 at 07:19 a.m., a vehicle was reported to have struck an individual at that location.  Officers cited Robbie Nathaniel McKeeman, age 19 of Oelwein for Failure to Yield to a Pedestrian.

On August 22^nd 2018 at 12:15 p.m., Officers took a report of a Theft in the 100 block of 1^st AV NW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation

On August 22^nd 2018 at 12:15 p.m., Officers took a report of a Criminal Mischief in the 100 block of 2^nd AV NW.  A report was taken and this incident remains under investigation.

On August 18, 2018 at 7:00 p.m., Oelwein Police took a report of a theft from a vehicle in the 900 block of South Frederick.  On August 20, 2018 at 2:50 p.m., after investigating the incident, arrested Zachary Allen Smith, age 33, of Oelwein on charges of Burglary 3rd Degree, a Class "D" Felony and Domestic Assault, a Simple Misdemeanor.
