At 5:29 p.m. on September, 9th, 2021, the Oelwein Police Department arrested Megan Elizabeth McAllister, 32, of Oelwein. McAllister was arrested on charges of Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor, Interference with Official Acts - simple misdemeanor, and Assault on Persons in Certain Occupations - serious misdemeanor. At 7:07 p.m. on September 8th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Daniel Joseph Hartney, 26, of Oelwein. Hartney was cited and released on a charge of Driving While License Suspended - simple misdemeanor. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Frederick Ave.
Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 2400 block of Rock Island Road at 4:43 p.m. on September 7th, 2021. A black 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Joshua Hildebrandt collided with a beige 2003 Buick Le Sabre driven by Shelley Ergen. Initial estimates of damage were $5000 to the vehicle driven by Hildebrandt and $1000 to the vehicle driven by Ergen. The Oelwein Police were assisted by Mercy Oelwein Ambulance and the Oelwein Fire Department.
On September 4, 2021 at 1:05 p.m., Oelwein Officers were called to the 100 block of 8th Avenue SW in Oelwein for a reported altercation. Officers arrested Charles William Evans, age 47 of Oelwein on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd or Subsequent Offense, a Felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a Simple Misdemeanor.
On September 3, 2021 at 11:05 p.m., Oelwein Officers arrested Audreana Marie Capps, age 30 of Prairie Du Chien, Wisconsin, for three Fayette County Sheriff's warrants with original charges of Gathering Where Controlled Substances Are Used and Possession of Marijuana, Carrying Weapons, and Driving While License Suspended.
On August 31, 2021 at 4:00 p.m., Oelwein Officers stopped a vehicle in the area of the 10 block of 13th Avenue NW. Elexander Charles Warren Wolf, age 25, of Oelwein was arrested on a charge of Violation of a Domestic Assault No Contact Order. Baylee Christine Stammeyer, age 29, of Oelwein was given a summons to appear in court for Violation of a Domestic Abuse No Contact Order and was cited for Operating Without Proper Registration Card or Plate.
At 2:14 p.m. on August 30th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Joshua Michael Dehart, 34, of Oelwein. Dehart was arrested on a charge of Driving While License Suspended - simple misdemeanor, and cited for No Insurance, a Registration violation, and a Motorcycle License violation. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 500 block of South Frederick Ave in Oelwein.
At 7:35 p.m. on August 29th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Tristan Marie Westpfahl, 34, of Oelwein. Westpfahl was cited and released on charges of Driving While License Suspended and No Insurance. This arrest was made following a traffic stop in the 10 block of North Frederick in Oelwein.
At 9:51 p.m. on August 29th, 2021, Oelwein Police arrested Brooke Ann Latham, 27, of Oelwein. Latham was arrested on charges of Interference with Official Acts - simple misdemeanor, Disorderly Conduct (Fighting) - simple misdemeanor, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - simple misdemeanor, Public Intoxication - simple misdemeanor, and Assault with Bodily Injury - serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made after a citizens report of a fight in the 10 block of 1st St SW in Oelwein.
