At 7:39 p.m. on March 8th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Kyle Robert Hundorf, 27, of Oelwein. Hundorf was arrested in the 500 block of Rock Island Road on a Clayton County warrant for Failure to Appear to serve sentenced time. 

At 9:22 p.m. on March 8th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Robert Joseph Rinella Jr., 30, of Oelwein. Rinella was arrested in the 400 block of 13th Ave NE on Fayette County warrants for Escape from Custody, and Violation of Probation x2. Rinella was also charged with Possession of Controlled Substance - serious misdemeanor, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia - simple misdemeanor. 

Oelwein Police received a report of a theft of motor vehicle at 10:10 p.m. on March 5th, 2022 from the 10 block of 5th Ave NE. The vehicle was a blue 2010 Chrysler PT Cruiser. The vehicle was later recovered in Blackhawk County and Jaylani Devin Whiteside, 37, of Elgin was charged with Theft 2nd Degree - Felony. 

At 12:27 p.m. on March 4th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Zachary Neal Moser, 32, of Waverly. Moser was arrested in the 1200 block of South Frederick Ave on a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear on 2 counts of Violation of No Contact Order.

At 5:31 p.m. on March 4th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Ian Nathaniel Morgan, 21, of Oelwein. Morgan was arrested at 2nd Ave and 4.5 St SW on a Fayette County warrant for Failure to Appear on an original charge of Assault.

At 4:28 p.m. on March 3rd, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Joshua Freedom Smith , 42, of Oelwein. Smith was arrested in the 600 block of 1st St NE on Clayton County warrants for original charges of Failure to Appear, Theft 1st degree, Burglary 3rd degree, and Dominion in Control of Firearm or Weapon by Felon. 

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 200 block of Mulford Drive at 1:30 p.m. on March 2nd, 2022. A Chevy Colorado driven by Tucker Tafolla collided with a Ford van driven by Dale Sachtschale. Initial estimates of damage were $2500 to the vehicle driven by Tafolla and $5000 to the vehicle driven by Sachtschale. No citations were issued. 

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident in the 2200 block of South Frederick Ave at 3:37 p.m. on March 1st, 2022. A Chrysler van driven by William Austin collided with a parked Honda Civic. Initial estimates of damage were $2000 to the vehicle driven by Austin and $2500 to the parked vehicle. No citations were issued.

At 4:17 p.m. on March 1st, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Shanon Arthur Clark, 45, of Oelwein. Clark was cited and released on a charge of Driving While License Revoked - serious misdemeanor. This arrest was made in the 500 block of Rock Island Road. 

At 12:47 p.m. on February 28th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Clayton Allen Bushaw, 27, of Oelwein. Bushaw was arrested in the 200 block of 1st Ave SE on Fayette County warrants for original charges of Failure to Complete Iowa Domestic Abuse Program, Harassment 2nd degree, Burglary 3rd degree, and Theft 3rd degree. 

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at 1st Ave SE and 2nd St SE at 9:55 a.m. on February 25th, 2022. A Chevy Cobalt driven by Marci Neal collided with a Chevy Cruze driven by Heather Petersen. There were no initial estimates of damage and no citations were issued.

Oelwein Police investigated a motor vehicle accident at 1st St and 9th Ave SE at 1:03 p.m. on February 22nd, 2022. A Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Gerald Wall collided with a Chevy Equinox driven by Michael Lien. No initial estimates of damage were given and no citations were issued. The Oelwein Police were assisted by Mercy Oelwein Ambulance and the Oelwein Fire Department. 

At 6:18 p.m. on February 19th, 2022, Oelwein Police arrested Ethan Lee Palmer, 47, of Oelwein. Palmer was arrested in the 300 block of 6th Ave SW on a Fayette County warrant for an original charge of Theft 2nd degree.
